I’m a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). I specialize in Child, Teen and Family Counseling. I began my therapeutic training working at a group home with abused and neglected children and teens. It was at the group that I learned to playfully help children and teens – and this play was instrumental in countering their negative behaviors that they used to cope with their depression, anxiety, trauma history and loss. I find that my early training in playfulness and redirection has helped me develop a strong clinical instinct regarding how to help those who are facing challenges, stress and loss.
I received my B.A. in Psychology from Cedarville University in Ohio and Masters of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Azusa Pacific University in the Los Angeles area. I am a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.
When I am not working I love spending time playing with my children, walking with my spouse, participating in my community, trying new recipes from Pinterest and watching some of my favorite television shows.
