Naphtali Roberts, LMFT LaCanada Flintridge, CA

I’m a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in Los Angeles County, specializing in individual therapy, as well as child, teen and family counseling. I’m committed to helping my clients thrive, moving past a place of just surviving.

I began my therapeutic training at a group home for abused and neglected children and teens. There I learned that play could help young people counter the negative behaviors they used to cope with depression, anxiety, trauma history and loss. That early training in playfulness and redirection has helped me develop a strong clinical instinct in how to help clients who are facing a wide variety of challenges, stresses and loss.

Today, depending on the client’s needs, I incorporate play, movement and mindfulness, along with talk, to help clients reach their goals, strengthen their relationships and enjoy better their lives.

I received a bachelor of arts in psychology from Cedarville University in Ohio, and a master of arts in clinical psychology from Azusa Pacific University, near Los Angeles. I am a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.

When I’m not working, I love spending time playing with my children, walking with my spouse, participating in my community, trying new recipes from Pinterest and watching some of my favorite television shows.
